It's been 16 days since Qistyna's was born - yes, its been 2 weeks....actually today is my Expected Due Date (EDD) imagine how time is so precious...would definitely prefer her being out earlier..can't imagine if today baru kelam kabut nak beranak
Coincidently, today is her 1st day out as well, since we need to go to the Baby's Clinic which is just 5 minutes walk from home...just a routine checkup ....weighing and all that sort of stuff..usually midwife come & visit at home, dah 5x ..but then, last thursday, midwife Tammie tgk Iva dah sihat and baby pun ok...so dia kata is better for me & the baby to go out to have fresh air ...good for me to exercise all the muscles and good for qistyna as well...mummy pun apalagi...take advantage la...baru 2 minggu dlm pantang dah keluar lega rasanya...baru rasa mcm normal skit   I'm quite lucky since I don't need any stitches so alhamdulillah...cepatla juga sembuh....Qistyna pun happy, she got to ride her 1st 'car'!
Anyway, ubat pantang still kena makan sampai habis....x kira sampai 44 hari atau lebih...alhamdulillah sebelum bersalin haritu, my mom ada bawakan ubat2 Mustika Ratu and set pantang Leesza...2-2 ubat lain-lain..so I pakaila 2-2....Mustika Ratu ni lebih banyak jamu2..Leesza pulak ada tungku, bengkung, pil ikan haruan, teh cotet emas and ginger cream...insyaallah, moga2 balik ke sedia kala nanti

Pagi ni bila bangun je terkejut sangat ... tetiba je snow...snow bulan April?  sepanjang 4 tahun kat sini, ni la 1st time merasa snow in April ..usually time ni dah Spring dah....semua kata Qistyna ni Spring baby...but no still winter baby!
For the past couple of days, we've had several friends who came in to visit Qistyna.....sempat snap pictures for a few je, yang lain tu dah sembang2 lupa plak.......thank you all for the generous gifts!

Alhamdulillah....Introducing Qistyna Alisya Malique
born on 30/3/ 2008, 10:20am at 37 weeks and 5 days - Mayday Hospital, London
Instinct ni sebenarnya dah terasa nak deliver awal, tapi x sangka pulak seawal ini.....akhirnya merasa juga segala perit pedih sakit beranak...pengalaman yang tak akan hilang dari ingatan sampai bila-bila...tapi segala keperitan itu hanya seperti gigitan semut bila pertama kali melihat wajah Qistyna yang selama ini was inside me .....it is so amazing....sayu...tak percaya pun ada
My Pre-labour actually started on Friday, 28th of March 2008. Masa tu about 2pm, duk tengah tgk drama Bella through internet...website TV3 , tetiba...terasa ada air keluar...ish...kenapa pulak..pegila toilet ingat ke...terbocorke kan....biasala kita perempuan kan...tetiba 15minit later, keluar lagi...x boleh control...ish panikla kejap..air dah pecah ke? sebab 1st time kan..tak sure...so telefon labour ward Mayday London..terus dia suruh dtg for check-up...apalagi, terusla call Malique kat office, masa tu dah pukul 4pm...masa tu mmg rasa mcm 'ish nak beranak ke ni'...sebab tak rasa sakit apa pun...but then kemas2 la hospital beg tu apa yg patut...siap-siapkan semua...kebetulan my bro - Boy baru sampai from ireland a day before, dia plak medic student..dah biasala masuk labour ward ni...so rasa legala skit sebab ada personal doktor beside me....lepas tu, malique balik je terus pegi hospital...sampai sana they said confirm my water broke...but then there's no contractions so dia suruh balik rumah and tunggu sampaila rasa sakit contractions...but then kalau x sakit lagi by 2pm the next day, dia suruh masuk ward to start induce labour sebab takut dah kena infections since air dah takde dlm tu....so mlm tu balikla...tunggu punya tunggu punya tunggu....x sakit-sakit contractions lagi...so decided to be admitted into the hospital for induce labour...
Saturday, 29th of March 2008 - I was admitted into Delivery Suite 8. At 7pm, they gave me jelly to soften the cervic and advice me to sleep. Malique and Boy pun I suruh balik rumah to have good rest...at least masa labour nanti diaorg have full energy nak jaga
Sunday, 30th of March 2008 - at 4am, I've woken up from very well-deserved sleep. Malique and Boy masa tu dah ada since 3am. At that moment.my midwife Colleen decided to induced me with Prostaglandin to help stimulate the contractions....at 6:30am, I was 2 cm dilated...masa tu still boleh tahan sakit lagi...but by 8:30am...I was very in pain...dah berapa kali pegi toilet sebab terasa nak 'PUSH'.....but then I ingatke I baru 4-5cm dilated so buat2 relax je la....tetiba by 10:00am tu dah terasa sgt nak 'PUSH'...midwife masa tu panik and cek...I am 10cm fully dilated! apalagi...kelam kabut la..get ready everything...about 3-4 push later....Qistyna was born...10:20am..alhamdulillah

Since this is my 1st experience, tak taula plak mengidam ni bukan setakat mengidam makan je rupanya  mengidam nak gi holiday pun ada tak taula kenapa, sejak 2-3 minggu ni...mengidam nak pi jalan2 tepi laut rindu sgt nak pijak pasir tepi pantai...main-main air laut...agaknyalakan sebab iva ni lahir kat Kuantan, masa kecik2 dulu boleh kata tiap hari parents bawak pi Teluk Chempedak...jadi ni mcm ala-ala 'sirih pulang ke gagang' kot........  ye ke? ke mengimbau memori silam la kot ni...... dah la hantu air
cari punya cari....akhirnya kami pun jumpala pantai Bournemouth di daerah Dorset ...pantai ni mmg favourite surfers especially bila musim summer...skrg ni baru nak masuk bulan 3 tapi alhamdulillah weather cantik sgt...temperature pun setakat 12-14C je...mcm spring...sampai je sana...mmg hilang habis rindu Iva kat laut....seronok sgt!!!

Akhirnya...hubby pilih TOM TOM Portable Satellite Navigation System (SAT NAV) as my birthday present for him Best choice indeed! Lepas ni, kalau nak dia nak travel... tak payahla nak susah2 baca map...tekan je butang...the SAT NAV will tell which route to use!

We had a leaving do for my teammates - John Owino, who resigns for a consultancy position in London. It was a good one. It started with lunch in Heathy Farm Restaurant - 5 minutes drive from the office
Most of the IT depart. members was there. I decided to have 'Butternut Squash (similar to Pumpkin) Pie with Roast Vegetable accompanied with Onion Gravy. It was delicious! We had a very good time laughing about and telling stories about John
After lunch, we had farewell gift for him. He was pleased with it Then, as usual we had a photo snap of our Solution Team. Being the only woman in the team, I had been spoilt by the men all the time especially by the wonderful Edwin and Alan who always volunteers to do me a cup of tea and offering me all those creme biscuits! I'm definitely gonna miss you guys when I had a my maternity leave

Happy Birthday Sayang! There’s no word to describe how thankful I am having you as my best friend and soul mates You have been tremendously wonderful and understanding, especially for these couple of months where everything about me has been hire wire the moods, the hormone – physically and mentally  You have been so patient and supportive in attending my needs, 'all the mengada-ngada' and 'manja-manja'. How can I forget all the help on the house chores ie cleaning and cooking, even without me asking! It really did make my day and there’s no doubt, that you gonna be the most wonderful daddy in the whole wide world
